Oscar 2025: Elton John also among the nominations

The 97th edition of the Oscar prizes is upon us: the ceremony will be held tonight, Sunday 2 March at the Dolby Theater of Hollywood and, for Italy, will be broadcast live on Rai 1 and Raiplay in the night between 2 and 3 March.

The Red Carpet will start at 11:30 pm, while the ceremony will start around 1: 00. The evening will present the comedian Conan O'Brien.

The 2025 Oscars will also celebrate the city of Los Angeles, marked by the devastating fires of last January. With over 10 thousand voting members of the Academy, including the leading figures of Italian cinema, the race to the statuettes promises to be more compelling than ever.

The award ceremony of the 96th edition will be broadcast on Sunday 10 March on Rai 1 and Rai Play starting at 11.30 pm.
From Rome, from Studio 3 in via Teulada, Alberto Matano will follow and will commemorate the direct from the Dolby Theater of Los Angeles together with Stefania Sandrelli, Gabriele Muccino, Claudia Gerini, Ambra Angiolini, Claudio Santamaria, Antonio Monda and Paola Jacobbi.
Connected by the red carpet of the Academy Awards, however, the correspondent for Tg1 Paolo Sommaruga will tell the Italian public about the magic of the evening by interviewing the international stars present.
