Grandma's Ashes – Bruxism

Music news

Grandma's Ashes unveil Bruxism, their second studio album, in which they deepen their universe by sprinkling it with new sounds.

Little by little making their mark within the French alternative scene, Grandma's Ashes make it sound Bruxisma second album which combines evolution and continuity. The Parisian trio maintains its sonic identity, made up of soaring layers and ambiences as captivating as they are indistinct, while blurring the stylistic lines.

If metal has always been part of their musical landscape, it is supported here, with stronger riffs here and there and powerful screams from Eva on “Flesh Cage” and “Dormant.” In ten concise, coherent and effective titles, the three musicians convince, while knowing how to vary the pleasures sufficiently. The result is a disc as dark as ashes, gripping, with marked dynamics and brightening, perfect for autumn.
