Max B has been released from prison after 16 years
Max B was released from prison on November 9 after serving 16 years in prison. The Harlem rapper was sentenced to 75 years in prison in 2009 for helping to orchestrate an armed robbery that went wrong and left a man dead. Max B, who was in another state at the time of the robbery, got his sentence reduced to 20 years due to a conflict of interest in the original case and a subsequent plea deal for aggravated manslaughter.
Max B continued to make music behind bars, in 2011 he released the album Vigilante Season, the mixtape Coke Wave 4 with French Montana and collaborated on Kanye West's The Life of Pablo. After his release, he will remain on probation for five years.
French Montana, Max B's longtime collaborator, was present when his colleague was released from prison.
