Music news

Live Nation reports that the tour, which began in 2022, has sold more than 7.5 million tickets, crossing the billion-dollar revenue milestone.

The tour After Hours Til Dawn of The Weeknd became the highest-grossing in history for a male solo artist. Live Nation revealed that the concert series, launching in 2022, generated more than $1 billion after 2026 dates went on sale in Mexico, Brazil, Europe and the United Kingdom. In total, more than 7.5 million tickets have been sold across North America (twice), Europe, the United Kingdom, Latin America and Australia.

In September 2022, the tour came close to disaster when The Weeknd lost his voice in the middle of a concert at SoFi Stadium from Los Angeles. He personally apologized to fans on stage, noting: “It’s killing me, I don’t want to stop the show, but I can’t give you the concert I want to give you”. He quickly recovered and continued the tour, which will begin a new stage on April 20, 2026.

The Weeknd also shares tour proceeds with various charities. During his dates, he associates with Global Citizen via the education fund FIFA Global Citizenas well as World Food Program of the United Nations to replenish the fund XO Humanitarian. Thus, €1 for each ticket sold in Europe, £1 in the United Kingdom and the equivalent of $1 in Mexico and Brazil will be donated to these two organizations.
