Il Cielo nella Stanza di Psalmo has exceeded 200 million streams on Spotify
The song “IL CIELO NELLA STANZA” by Salmo feat. NSTASIA released in 2018 has exceeded 200 million streams on Spotify, confirming itself as one of the longest-lasting and most recognizable successes of his discography and of the Italian scene. A result that once again attests to the impact of the song, of which Salmo is co-producer.
To celebrate the milestone, Salmo returns to 2018 by retracing the exact moment in which everything was born:
«It was 2018, I was in Los Angeles and the hotel was made of large windows. I felt like I had the sky inside the room.”
The spark arrives when Marco Azara sends him the guitar work that would later give shape to the song: «It struck me immediately. It had an English flavour, it seemed like The Police style to me. I wrote the whole song just on that ride.”
In the first version the refrain was in Italian, then the meeting that changes the direction of the piece:
«Then I met NSTASIA, we were in the studio together in Los Angeles and I liked her chorus more than mine».
