The most famous song, Do You Realize?? — also the Official Rock Song of Oklahoma — was covered by Willie Nelson on his album Last Leaf On The Tree. The latest LP, American Head, marks a return to more melodic sounds and was critically acclaimed, appearing in numerous year-end charts. With 22 studio albums, 16 singles, 11 compilations, 11 EPs and other self-released experimental rarities, the Flaming Lips remain at the pinnacle of creativity, becoming a true American treasure and creating a unique genre.
