Andrea Bocelli and Matteo Bocelli together with the American rap legend Snoop Dogg were surprise protagonists of the Netflix NFL Christmas Game Day.
The most watched global sporting and entertainment event during Christmas, with over 70 million people connected worldwide. The Italian artists, welcomed by a real roar, closed the Christmas Halftime Show with an exciting interpretation of “White Christmas”, bringing Italy into the heart of American culture, as no one had ever done.
For the second consecutive year, after Beyoncé's show last year – which reached record numbers – Netflix has transformed American football into an international show capable of combining sport, music and pop culture, streaming two very high profile NFL matches – Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings – and combining the sports show with a great musical show designed for an international audience.
The Holiday Halftime Party, led by the American rap legend Snoop Dogg, saw names from the world of music and entertainment take turns on the field: from the iconic presence of Martha Stewart, to the performances of Lainey Wilson, American country superstar, up to the voices of HUNTR/X (EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami), protagonists of the Netflix KPop phenomenon Demon Hunters.
In a media context dominated by the great international stars of American entertainment, the entry onto the field of Maestro Andrea Bocelli together with Matteo Bocelli represented the most exciting and solemn moment of the show, bringing the two Italian excellences to the center of the NFL stage, in front of millions of spectators connected all over the world.
The Halftime Show will also be available as a stand-alone special on Netflix, further expanding the event's global reach.
