A bridge between tradition and the avant-garde.

Altin Günthe acclaimed Turkish band that has captivated global audiences with their unique fusion of psychedelic sounds, have revealed details of their highly anticipated sixth studio album titled, Garip. The announcement is accompanied by the release of their first single: “Neredesin Sen”.

Garipwhose name translates into Spanish as “strange” or “lonely”, is configured as a profound and respectful tribute to one of the greatest icons of Turkish folk music: the legendary singer and composer Neşet Ertaş.

“Neredesin Sen” It is the first approach to this ambitious project that promises to offer a sample of how Altin Gün has managed to inject his psychedelic and funk energy into the timeless melodies of Turkish folklore, while maintaining the essence and emotion that characterize the original compositions.

My parents are from Türkiye, from the same area as him. It's the music I grew up with. When I was five or six years old, my grandfather always had Neşet Ertaş cassettes and listened to them all day. At that time I was too young to understand the lyrics and meaning well, but I really liked the melodies,” explained Erdinç Eçevit.
