The legal battle involving Jane's Addiction and its leader Perry Farrell ended. According to court documents obtained by People Friday, the members of the group Dave Navarro, Eric Avery And Stephen Perkins have settled their lawsuit against Farrell following their infamous onstage brawl in 2024.
The Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, dismissed the lawsuit, initially filed last July, this Monday, December 22.
This rejection comes about a week after Farrell issued a public apology to his bandmates regarding the incident, admitting that he “did not behave as he should have”.
The official end of the group
Jane's Addiction also shared its own statement, saying the group had “unilaterally determined that it was better not to continue the tour”adding that they had “made inaccurate statements about Perry's mental health, which we regret. »
The group concluded its note by confirming the end of the adventure: “Jane's Addiction will forever live in our hearts. We are proud of the music we created together. »
Navarro, Avery and Perkins originally accused Farrell of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract. The complaint alleged that the group lost more than 10 million dollars due to the cancellation of the tour and the cessation of all band activities.
Representatives for Farrell and the group did not immediately respond to request for comment from WECB.
