A new and prolific creative stage.
The Black Crowes reveals details of his new and long-awaited studio album, A Pound of Featherswhich is scheduled to go on sale on March 13. To increase anticipation, the southern rock band has already offered a couple of powerful previews in the form of singles: the visceral intensity of “Profane Prophecy” and the nostalgic psychedelia of “Pharmacy Chronicles”.
This next album, which promises to capture the vibrant essence of the band, arrives with notable speed after the publication of Happiness Bastards in 2024. This rapid change of pace in production is noteworthy, especially when contrasted with the lengthy 14-year hiatus that preceded their acclaimed previous album, marking a prolific new creative era for the brothers. Robinson and company. The followers hope that A Pound of Feathers cement this resurgence, offering more of the timeless, bluesy rock and roll that characterizes the band.
We made this album in eight or 10 days. Bring the euphoria and inspiration of Happiness Bastards to this album was a natural progression. We experimented more, we composed by instinct and according to what we felt at the moment. “Rich gave the album an indescribable spontaneity, but it's the best thing he's ever done,” said singer Chris Robinson.
