Kim Gordonthe co-founder of Sonic Youth and an icon of art rockfinally revealed the details of their third studio album. This material will be called PLAY ME and is accompanied by the debut single, the intense “NOT TODAY”.

PLAY ME is set to come out on March 13 and will be distributed by the label Matador Records. The LP, which includes 11 songs, marks a new stage in the solo career of Gordon and strengthens his creative vibe with the Los Angeles producer, Justin Raisenknown for his innovative work with artists such as Yves Tumor and the multifaceted Charli XCXa collaboration that promises to maintain that experimental and bold sound that so characterizes Kim.
According to a press release official of your team, PLAY ME It is described as “an inner record”, a sonic and lyrical movement where an “intense emotionality beats through physical improvisations.” This description suggests that it is a super personal and visceral work, which surely brings that spontaneity and raw texture of a live performance within the studio recordings.
