This ambitious recording project is not a conventional work. RAYE has conceived it with a deep and thoughtful structure, dividing it into four thematic “stations.” This division is not only conceptual, but will be explicitly reflected in the physical format of the album, offering an immersive and sequential experience to the listener. The “stations” are designed to guide the listener through an emotional and sonic journey that begins in darkness and initial introspection, moving through various stages of vulnerability and resilience, culminating in a final and hopeful light.
Music is medicine, I've always said it. I guess I'm in the process of creating medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to tell ourselves that everything is going to be okay, and I'm going to have faith in the seeds I've planted under the snow. “I wanted to create something that was a hug, a bed or a soft place for that person who needs it,” the singer explained in a press release.
