Indochina plays the French-speaking pillars with Babel Babelalways installed on the 2nd step. Further proof that the group remains a generational phenomenon, capable of standing up to Anglo-Saxon behemoths.
On the podium: a duel of giants
- #1 Linkin Park – From Zero (+2)
A significant rise, symptomatic of a loyal audience and an intact power of re-listening. The compilation Papercuts (still #4) reinforces this sprawling presence in the top 5. - #2 Indochina – Babel Babel (=)
Indochine's latest album remains one of the best-selling in France in all categories. - #3 Megadeth – Megadeth (↓)
After a week at the top, the thrash monster is more discreet but keeps a place on the podium.
France turns up the volume
It's a great week for the French scene:
- Alain Bashung gaining ground with The album of his lifenow in 8th position.
- Shaka Ponk remains clinging to the top 10 (#10), proof that their crazy rock still seduces.
- Matmatahwith Breststabilizes at 14th place, between two tides.
- Ultra Vomitin more difficulty, went from 17th to 30th place.

- Guitar Night Project: Live Access (#16)
Patrick Rondat, Fred Chapellier and Pat O'May united in an electric live performance. - Sam Quealy – Jawbreaker (#20)
The electro-punk UFO lands in the top. - Francis Rossi – The Accidental (#25)
A solo foray for the leader of Status Quo. - Therion – Con Orquesta (#26)
Swedish symphonic metal returns, orchestral and massive. - At the back of the pack, three notable entries: Igorrr (#90), Till Lindemann (#91), and Nine Inch Nails who brings up the rear in 100th place with his soundtrack of Tron: Ares, does not seem to benefit from the Grammy Awards effect.

Turnstile explodes everything, going from 41st to 15th place with Never Enough.
Blood Orange also climbs 21 places to 43rd. - Strongest fall :
Poppy tumbles from the top 10 to 34th place.
The Damnedthey collapse from 22nd to 60th.
