Taylor Swift: “Opalite” number one, she reveals behind the scenes in the studio

Taylor Swift once again at the top of the charts with “Opalite” which arrives at number 1. The singer decided to celebrate this good news with an Instagram post.

Taylor Swift celebrates her latest number one with a giant pretzel. On Monday, the pop star spoke out on social media after “Opalite” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — marking her fourteenth song to top the chart.

Accompanying an Instagram carousel of behind-the-scenes clips and photos from the recording sessions and music video, Swift wrote, “Just some Opalite memories to celebrate the Hot 100 number one you just gave this song!! »

In the six-slide post, Swift shares moments with the track's co-writers and producers, Max Martin and Shellback. In one clip, she sings part of the sparkling chorus and in another, the three toast champagne in the studio.

Swift also shared a clip of herself in a denim suit for the clip — telling the camera “never in my life have I felt more like myself” — and a rehearsal clip of the choreography for the '90s-inspired video.

“I am so blown away by the love you have shown for this song and video,” she continued. “To put things in perspective… This is actually the first time I've had two Hot 100 number ones from the same album since 1989 came out in 2014, almost twelve years ago! »

“Opalite” debuted at number two on the Hot 100 when it was released as a single. The Life of a ShowgirlSwift's twelfth studio album. The song followed her debut single, “The Fate of Ophelia”, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks.

In her post shared Monday, Swift wrote, “I know it's a lot of numbers, but what it all boils down to is that I'm so grateful to the fans who made this possible by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms.” »

The singer added that Taylor Swift was “excited” and “wanted to say THANK YOU.” She concluded, “Maybe I'll buy myself a giant pretzel at the mall to celebrate, iykyk.” »
