REPORT CARDS AND COMMENTS

15 – SAYF “I like you a lot”
Definitely one of my favourites. Non-trivial urban text. He manages to involve and convince. Ghali mode from a couple of years ago. Bravo! Rating over 7.00 without problem.

14 – MARA SATTEI “The things you don't know about me”
Calibrated voice, lyrics and arrangements. Elegant but forgettable pop ballad. Sufficient but nothing more.

13 – LUCHÈ “Labyrinth”
If you find the exit from its sonic labyrinth you will find the key to understanding this song. The risk is to go around in circles. Rating 6.25

12 – MICHELE BRAVI “Sooner or later”
Sooner or later it comes to you like a caress and a hug. Not immediately, not intensely, without special effects. Rating 6.50

11 – ARISA “Magical fairy tale”
Repeat iuvant. Perfect voice, song from the soundtrack of a fairy tale, professional interpretation. But that's not enough to trigger the magic. It's okay! Rating 6.50.

10 – SAMURAI JAY “Obsession”
I can already see this song being danced without a tomorrow to De Martino's packages. Catchphrase and obsession at the end of February. I like. Rating above 7.00 for Mugnano's Bad Bunny.

09 – SERENA BRANCALE “Here with me”
If I have to find a flaw in this song it's the setting. Too much in search of empathy at all costs. The rest is all perfect. Voice, lyrics, groove. Five for sure. Rating fluctuating above 7.00.

08 – EDDIE BROCK “Vultures”
Eddie's job is to prove that 30 songs is too many. He could have easily stayed out of Sanremo. We wouldn't have noticed. Not saveable.

07 – FRANCESCO RENGA “The best of me”
Renga explores timbres and modulations, seeking a personal landing between classicism and modernity. Courage in interpretation, but remain prudent in form. Maybe that's not his best! Sufficient but no more. 6.00

06 – RAF “Now and Forever”
Raf delivers a ballad that would have aimed straight for the podium in 2000. Now leave some time consumed, emotional archive and honey forever. Rating 8.00 in 2000 and 6.00 in 2026

05 – THIRTEEN PETER “Man falling”
Thirteen does not fall and remains balanced on straight writing without too many generational poses. It doesn't dazzle, it holds the line. Solid 6.25!

04 – SAL DA VINCI “Forever yes”
Sal Da Vinci aims for popular plebiscite with a refrain built to take root at first listen. “Forever yes” is a muscular melody, neo-romantic sentimentalism, Da 10 as the theme song for Temptation Island!

03 – MALIKA AYANE “Nocturnal animals”
Malika turns towards a retro tropicalism with a Brazilian flavour. “Nocturnal Animals” flows lightly, seduces without scratching, chooses escape instead of risk. Elegance from 6.25 but restrained.

02 – LEO GASSMANN “Natural”
A well-turned melody, the Hammond warms up the incipit with a credible soul timbre. Loving lyrics without vertigo, but the song flows with measure and pop dignity. Nothing essential, yet it works. 6.25 … Natural.

01 – MARIA ANTONIETTA & COLOMBRE – “Happiness and that's it”
Retro writing and domestic imagery. Put in the blender Al Bano and Romina, i Coma_Cose and a pinch of Baustelle. Sunny melody, polite arrangement, but the risk is the comfort zone. Nice, not necessary. Rating 6.50 reassuring but impalpable.
