“Mantis”a centerpiece of the album, came about after a chance encounter with a praying mantis in his studio, which inspired the final creative direction. It is a melodic and optimistic song with “urgent and bright” guitars.

I was feeling particularly lost while working on this song. One day, I was in the kitchen, making coffee, when I saw a small green praying mantis perched on the door frame. I had never seen one in the desert house, so I interpreted it as an important sign from the universe. I sent a photo to Stella and she told me it brought good luck, look for it! I did a quick search and discovered that it also represented patience, perseverance, and a guide for those who needed guidance. I stayed for a while talking to the mantis; It was a strange and eye-opening moment that I will never forget. “Finally, I wrote again and finally found the chorus for this song,” the singer explained in a press release.

On the other hand, “Sugar Plum” It is a deep reflection on the struggle of Barnett against personal insecurity. However, the song concludes with a liberating chorus that celebrates the triumph of wonder and unwavering optimism, offering a message of improvement.
