In this album, Kevis & Maykyy found its definitive sound. After navigating between trap and similar genres, “BACK TO THE 90s” It became a manifesto that put him on the radar very quickly and deservedly.
Kevis & Maykyy It is a project that has a happy and contagious spark. It is notable that these brothers radiate good vibes and emotion. Their faces, their smiles and their way of expressing themselves counteract the cliché of the macho rapper character. This is a new rap with a taste of nostalgia, current and current, full of life and with new perspectives.
This weekend, Kevis & Maykyy will debut in the twenty-sixth edition of the Vive Latino Festival. Regarding this announcement, we spoke with the brothers Kevin Sebastian and Jose Miguel about their live music, the party and the World Cup pools.

Kevis & Maykyy: We are very happy, the truth is that the news reached us and we are in shock, we do not know how to react because it is a very important stage and an event that is too gigantic and when they told us that we were going to be part of the lineup It was like a dream, really. It was a long-term dream that we had and fulfilling it so quickly seemed very crazy to us.
GO!: Exactly, so fast. This project has grown very quickly, but it is also true that they have worked too hard to find their sound. In addition to this, you have a family dynamic within the project itself. What has it been like to make music that way?
KM: Well, I feel that it is also very fun because we always support each other. I mean, when something doesn't work out for him or when Valy Something doesn't come out or when something doesn't come out for me, he helps me or I help him or we help each other write. At family gatherings all the time we are thinking about music like “we should sample this or we should…”, I don't know, thinking about videos, ideating.
Every time we are in the truck we are also thinking about that because we are together all the time. At the end of the day, as you say: we are brothers. So all the time we are together and all the time we are thinking about the same thing. I feel like it's a cool combination because between brothers the dynamic is more, I already know what he likes, he already knows what I like, so it's easier for us to make music.
GO!: Moms always say that there is no favorite and that they love all children equally, but is there a favorite at home?
M: Yes, well, always, but they never admit it… let's see if they watch this interview. The favorite is SebastianWell, Kevin is the favorite.
K: I don't feel that, but sometimes he does have a little more affection for me.
M: That's what a favorite would say.
GO!: It's fun. Also, you are people who have a lot of energy live, how would you say it is to experience a show?
KM: I have always said it: a show of ours is like an anti-stress show, if you have stress at work, at home, that is, you have problems or something like that, in the show, there you are going to get even and you are going to de-stress from everything you have inside, because well you are going to jump, you are going to jump, you are going to sing, that is, you are going to literally get rid of yourself in that concert, and for me that, that is my definition of concerts.
GO!: Going a little deeper into how you experience music, what is it like to party with you? What do you expect when you tell someone to “go to a Kevis & Maykyy party”?
KM: The thing is, notice that we are not so much party people, because we are more like soccer fans, more about meetings than playing, that is, we go to a house to play. Xboxto play soccer, that is, we are not so party animals in that aspect, like we are not so crazy, like we have that counterpart, right? Like on stage we are the craziest: we don't stop screaming, we don't stop jumping. But in our lives, in our day-to-day lives, we don't go out so much, we are very calm. Many people are surprised. But the most essential thing in a meeting, I think, is tacos, that is, any type of taco or pizza, a Xboxand any type of juice, a ball and that's it.
GO!: Something calm. We just know their football side. We are less than 100 days away from the 2026 Soccer World Cup being held in our country, what is the Kevis & Maykyy pool?
KM: Let's see, let's see… Mexico, world champion, I already said it, if Mexico doesn't pass the fifth game, it's going to disappoint me a little, but I trust them, I trust that we are going to pass the fifth game.
GO!: Do you have any favorites for this World Cup?
KM: Well, my favorite is Mexico, I always go to Mexico. Another favorite is France. But my favorite will always be Mexico, but which candidate is France or Argentina too.
