Modest Mouse returns with “Look How Far…”

Music news

A long-awaited return.

Modest Mouse has ended a recording silence with the release of his new song, titled “Look How Far…”. This single marks her first musical contribution since the release of her latest studio album in 2021.

The new track stands out not only for being a comeback, but for the notable collaboration it features. For the percussion section, Modest Mouse recruited the acclaimed Janet Weissa seminal figure in the independent rock scene, recognized for his work as a former member of the iconic band riot grrrl Sleater-Kinney and his current role as a member of the indie rock duo Quasi. The participation of Weiss on the drums adds a layer of rhythmic complexity and power to the signature sound of Modest Mouse.
