Nearly four years after their last show in the United States and the end of their military service, the seven members of BTS will meet on stage in New York on March 23 for a unique Spotify event, a prelude to an 82-date world tour.
The return of BTS is confirmed in a spectacular way. The group of superstars will officially return to the stage for their first American performance in almost four years.
BTS will perform in New York as part of Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE, an exclusive event celebrating the release of the group's first album in five years, Arirang. The event will take place on Monday March 23, just a few days after the album's release scheduled for March 20.
Spotify will invite 1,000 of its most dedicated listeners and BTS fans to the event, which will include immersive experiences around the album in addition to the concert. This is one of the streaming platform's many initiatives to help ARMY, the group's fan community, celebrate this highly anticipated return.
Easter Egg Hunt on Spotify
Spotify also launched an in-app Easter egg hunt, unlocking exclusive audio messages from RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, as well as a BTS themed quiz to test fans' knowledge.
The last time all the members were together on stage in the United States was in 2022, during concerts Permission to Dance on Stage. Subsequently, the group had to take a break so that the seven members completed their compulsory military service in South Korea.
A return at full speed
Now, BTS is coming back at full speed. The day after Arirang's release, the group will hold a free concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. Then, starting April 9, BTS will begin an 82-date world tour that will take them on the road until March 2027.
