Rostam announces 'American Stories', his new album

“Like a Spark” is the first preview of the new album that will arrive in May.

The musician, composer and producer Rostam Batmanglij has confirmed the release of his third studio album: American Stories. This new production, which will reach digital platforms nextximo May 15, It consists of nine tracks and is now available to pre-save. The announcement did not come alone, as it comes hand in hand with “Like a Spark”a first single that allows us to know the atmosphere of their new proposal.

With this premiere, the former member of Vampire Weekenddelivers a piece whose sound is evocative, betting on a poetic and personal approach that unites acoustic guitars with the piano. In this installment, the artist immerses himself in his Iranian heritage to fuse the classic instrumentation of Persian music with nuances of Americana and avant-garde pop. To form this concept, he collaborated with Clairo on the topic “Hardy”in addition to having the talent of Amir Yaghmai (The Voidz) on the saz and the violin, and Tobias Jesso Jr. in the composition. As if that were not enough, the mixing and mastering engineering was in charge of the winners of the Grammy, Tom Elmhirst and Emily Lazarrespectively.

The release of the album will be reinforced by a tour throughout North America and Europe during the summer and fall of 2026. The tour It will start on May 27 in San Diego, visiting places such as Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, London and Berlin. Tickets will be available for pre-sale starting March 11, while general sales will begin on the 13th of the same month.
