Pablo Alboran He came to the program this Monday The Revolton RTVE's La 1, to promote his new tour KM0but his visit has gone beyond music. The artist from Malaga ended up starring in one of the most talked about moments of the night by sharing a forceful reflection in defense of public health in Spain.
During the interview, the singer focused on the need to place health above any ideological difference. His intervention began by appealing to understanding between citizens: “It doesn't matter what party you vote for, it doesn't matter what you think on a political level, I think that on a human and social level, which is what should be above all that“I see how people who have nothing to do with their political ideas, in the end when health comes first, not in Parliament, but on the street, I do think they agree, I think we agree, I think we realize what is really important.”

The musician stressed that the experience in hospitals shows that social union when what is truly important comes into play. In this context, he wanted to recognize the work of health personnel: “I think that when you are in a hospital and you have doctors who, beyond their vocation, beyond the shit they charge, beyond the conditions that have to be critical and who “We have to support them, they are giving their lives and their kindness and their smile and their affection and their empathy.”.

From there, Alborán has been even more explicit in his call for citizen involvement: “I think that, man, that is, we have to help them and we will have to vote for those who help. In this case, medicine, right? Because I truly believe that We have a public health system in this country that is great and that right now is not so great because the conditions are not as they should be.”
The singer also linked the defense of the health system with patriotic sentiment: “And I think it is something that characterizes us, that for those who are patriotic and such, they should be more in favor of the work, right? It is more patriotic than that. In other words, damn, we do it through health, which is what makes us all human, damn. I'm happy, right?”.

The defense of public health is not foreign to its recent trajectory. Last year, Pablo Alborán premiered the second season of Breathethe series in which debuted as a leading actor like Dr.Jon Balanzategui. The fiction addresses the social conflict that Spain is going through around the privatization of the health system, showing the tensions between professionals, patients and political leaders.

This project consolidated his leap into acting and, at the same time, allowed him to approach from within a reality that he now also publicly defends. With his intervention on television, the artist once again placed the health debate at the center of the conversation, this time from a set and in front of millions of viewers.
