Fausto Lama continues to tell his story and build his new artistic path step by step: it will be released on Friday 10 April Young Bukowski, his new song which continues this personal story, made of observation, irony and a clear look at the present.
A song that, despite starting from an imagery linked to getting high, talks about what we choose to depend on today.
Giovani Bukowski is an indie pop song with a bittersweet tone, written by Fausto himself, which tells of a night out with friends transforming it into a generational photograph. Between expectations, excesses and moments of suspension, a shared emotional world takes shape, balanced between boredom, disenchantment and the desire to escape. The production, rhythmic and immediate, accompanies a visual and singable writing, supported by a refrain that remains imprinted.
Beneath a brilliant and nocturnal surface a more bitter subtext emerges: Giovani Bukowski delves into a broader and profoundly contemporary condition, in which approval, performance and belonging chase each other, often without really questioning them. Excess becomes a shared language, a way to feel part of something, while beneath appearances there is frustration, emptiness and a subtle difficulty in avoiding repeating dynamics. More than telling the high, the song dismantles the mechanism, highlighting a system that affects everyone, even when we pretend not to see it.
As Fausto himself says:
“This song isn't about drugs. It's about you as much as it is about me.
Because today we are all addicted to something we don't admit: to consensus, to performance, to the fear of not being there. We live in a world intoxicated by a positivity that most of the time is just scenography — and we often empathize with things that don't even interest us in order to 'belong'.
'Young Bukowski' talks about those who want to evolve from an environment that fades into repetitiveness and the loneliness of those who make change their normality.”
Fausto's writing, which has always been capable of combining irony and depth, thus constructs a story that is immediately recognized as personal but at the same time collective, restoring the image of a generation suspended between impulses and voids, between the need to feel alive and the difficulty of finding a balance.
After years of shared path with Coma Cose, Fausto returns to give space to a more direct and individual dimension, continuing to develop a project that is revealing itself song after song during 2026.
