The new version of the classic dosmilero comes with a video and a narrative that redefines its story.

Mexican electropop is back thanks to Maria Daniela and Her Lasser Sound next to Denise Guerrerovocalist of Belanovawho come together to present a new version of “Poor Stupid”. This collaboration marks a key moment for pop in our country, bringing together two of the most influential figures of the 2000s.

The new version of “Poor Stupid” retains the acidic and danceable essence with which it was released in 2008 within the album Youth in Ecstasybut now he returns with a more current production, characteristic of the work of Emilio Acevedo and Maria Daniela. On this occasion, the voice of Denise It provides a different nuance that plays with the narrative that surrounded both performers for years; an alleged enmity fueled by rumors and various media.

More than 10 years after the original premiere, the song returns under the title “Poor stupid girl (Friends and Rivals Mix)”. Both artists present this new installment, which also comes accompanied by a video that stands out for its visual aesthetics.

Beyond morbidity or nostalgia, this collaboration represents a relevant moment for Mexican music, in which two of the most representative exponents of electropop in Mexico who defined an entire generation meet to present a visual, ironic and even theatrical proposal, which redefines the history that surrounded them.
