Evanescence gives details of their new album

Music news

Starting a new era.

Evanescencethe band led by the iconic Amy Leehas announced his long-awaited new studio album, Sanctuary. This will be the band's sixth album, marking their first release in five years since The Bitter Truth (2021), and its arrival is scheduled for June 5 via BMG.

This album has been over three years in the making, and finally listening to it in its entirety, about to release it to the world, I feel incredibly proud of every second. It's overwhelming. Working on it has been my escape from many things that I feel are wrong and out of control, and a place to instill hope through the power of music and connection… Thank goodness we already have the tour ready, otherwise I wouldn't know what to do with myself! I have been completely obsessed. “I'm dying for the fans to hear it,” Lee said.

As a powerful preview, the American band has released the first single, “Who Will You Follow”a song that perfectly encapsulates his characteristic sound, fusing melancholy and emotional strength. The song begins with the unmistakable and expressive voice of Amy Lee accompanied by the piano, creating an intimate and reflective atmosphere. However, this initial calm is quickly interrupted by a powerful riff of guitar and a forceful rhythmic base, catapulting the composition towards a chorus of great impact.
