talking about HOTCORE and its new era.
Taichu It inaugurates a new stage where the intensity does not disappear, but is transformed. In this conversation, the artist delves into the process behind her most recent album: a work built with patience, intuition and a constant search to refine her sonic identity. From key collaborations to the way he imagines his music live, HOTCORE It is presented as a more conscious, but equally visceral, journey that marks a point of maturity in her career without losing the momentum that defines her.
Indie Rocks!: Congratulations because you are finally with us HOTCORE. I'd like to start by talking about how this new album connects with RAWRyour last album. How would you define the meaning of this new era? And how have you seen the reception from the people?
Taichu: First of all, the reception felt super encouraging. He feedback It's very positive. I feel like people in my niche, who listen to my music, really liked this album and followed the plot. It's like him yin and the Yang: RAWR It was chaos and unbridled fire everywhere, burning everything. In HOTCOREthere is a TAICHU more mature. I continued investigating what RAWR left, but with maturation and another point of view: fire, but knowing where to burn, not everything.
GO!: A little more about the creative process: how was it from composition, writing, production to the final result?
T: It was long, I was doing it for two years, I started as soon as I finished RAWR. Very detailed: the songs were not “that's it.” We raised the level so that they were much better than the main model. I did it with my usual producers, who interpret my vision perfectly and accompany it with theirs. It taught me patience, but it was beautiful: searching until it was perfect, making thousands of songs, discarding them, seeing what completed everything. It is a very complete album, a non-linear journey that goes through everything. Very me: I didn't choose sounds mainstreamexcept for bachata because it was something new, with my twist.
GO!: This album has several special features. How did they come together to maintain your essence?
T: They all fit. Coucou Chloe They have been a great inspiration. Sadboi connects with my body part. With Coucou Chloe and Rojuuin the process he chose a beat very mine, something new. I offered him others more similar to his sound, but he wanted that one and I loved it.
GO!: What would be the mood perfect for listening HOTCORE for the first time, or in repetitions? The best way?
T: There are several moodsbut I like to listen to it at home putting on makeup, in a ride length of Uber with headphones, walking with headphones, or running in a club with good sound, without performances, just letting yourself go.
GO!: What is it like to have the experience of HOTCORE from the studio to a live show?
T: From the studio it is designed for the live showspecifically this album. In general, my music: when I like something, I think “ugh, this is live” and I get more hooked.
GO!: Last question: what else can we expect from your project this year? More presentations? Surprise collaborations?
T: Yes, surprise collaborations: one or two that are a dream, one comes out this year, the other on the way. You will see me as an actress for the first time, discovering myself in projects that excite me. Obviously, touch HOTCORE everything possible, everywhere that welcomes us.
GO!: Anything else to add?
T: I am very happy to be here. I love the Mexican public, super energetic in the feedback. I value it a lot after years without turning, with the race slowed down and the situation in Argentina. Coming here is a shock of energy. I like nothing more than feeling live feedback.
