A collective project that brings together exponents from Mexico, Peru and Chile.
The Latin American music scene is expanding and constantly nourished by new talents and collaborations. As proof of this, it is presented 4-way split: The Four Revoltsa collaborative album released through bandcampwhich brings together four projects from different countries in the region.
This material is a split made by Luna Sedata (Yucatan), Kenopsy (Lime), malplena (Santiago) and hanakotoba (CDMX/Puebla), groups led by women within post-hardcore, screamo and neo-crust. The result is a collective work of 10 songs that move between emotional rawness and moments of pause and contemplation.
The Four Revolts emerged in May 2025 from the initiative of Serena Cuevasvocalist and bassist of Luna Sedatain response to the lack of spaces for women and dissidents within the music industry.
In this project, each band contributes its own identity. Luna Sedata opens the material with a mixture of post-hardcore raw and nuances influenced by math-rock; Kenopsy It enters denser territories, close to the neo-crust and the black metalintegrating elements of spoken word and introspective poetry; malplena resume the screamo traditional and the post-hardcorewith a focus on memory and sexual dissidence; while hanakotoba closes the album with a proposal that mixes stridency with hope, influenced by references such as Envy.
The edition is carried out by no hay futur and dirty numb angel girl home records, in conjunction with Contramarea Colectivo. In addition to the digital premiere, the project includes physical releases on cassette and a fanzine that will bring together the members' reflections on the voice, the body and collective creation, reaffirming the importance of collaboration within the current music scene.
