Ariana Grande's new album will be called “Petal”.

The new studio album, the eighth of his career, will be released on July 31st via Republic Records. A title that seems to want to overturn the smooth imagery of his recent pop, introducing a more organic, almost vulnerable grammar.

“petal” – produced and co-written with ILYA – is described by Ariana Grande as: “Something that is full of life and grows through the cracks of something cold and hard and difficult.”

After her latest album “eternal sunshine” (gold record in Italy) in 2024 – with which she debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in the United States – Ariana Grande went through a period of distance from the music scene, during which she continued to collect important awards, also consolidating her success as an actress. In 2026 she won the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2026 Astra Awards and triumphed at the 2025 MTV VMAs with the “Video of the Year” and “Best Pop Song” awards for “Brighter Days Ahead”. At the same time, her performance in “Wicked” earned her numerous nominations, including at the Oscars, Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards during the 2025/2026 seasons.

The news reported by Variety was accompanied by a post from Ariana herself on her social media.
