COEZ's cult format “From The Rooftop” arrives in a third new version on May 22nd.

The album is anticipated by the publication on his Instagram profile and on YouTube of the full version of I make a mess.

Having become over time one of the most recognizable and authentic artistic expressions of Coez's career, almost ten years after its birth, after the second chapter published in 2022, the project continues its evolution with FROM THE ROOFTOP 3, as always recorded entirely live, this time in the splendid setting of Florence, which among other things will be the city that will host the start of the Roman artist's new tour.

Born as a parallel and more intimate video project compared to Coez's main productions, which later also became an album, From The Rooftop takes shape from the idea of stripping the songs of their original guise to take them towards an alternative dimension.

Over the years, From The Rooftop has defined some elements that are now central to the format: each edition contains rearranged cult songs from his repertoire, at least two covers, including one belonging to the rap scene, flanked by more indie and singer-songwriter reinterpretations, and from the second chapter onwards by unreleased collaborations. A balance that reflects the artist's two musical souls and which, with this new volume, represents a further step in the evolution of a project that continues to renew itself without losing its artistic and sonic coherence. In fact, confirming all the elements of the previous chapters, it opens up to something new: new songs directly in the “Rooftop” version.

This new release arrives immediately after the publication of the song CI VUOLE UNA LAUREA (from the Netflix Series “Due Spicci”), the new single by COEZ present in the trailer and in the soundtrack of the new animation series “DUE SPICCI” created, written and directed by Zerocalcare, produced by Movimenti Production, part of Banijay Kids & Family, in collaboration with BAO Publishing which will arrive, only on Netflix, on May 27th.

The song establishes the artistic collaboration between the singer-songwriter and the cartoonist, combining Coez's typical musical style, with a melancholic refrain, with the bittersweet irony that distinguishes Zerocalcare's stories. IT TAKES A DEGREE was produced with Golden Years during one of the first writing sessions of 1998, Coez's latest album released last June, which draws from the sounds and imagery of the 90s, taking inspiration from the aesthetics of that period. The song, released last May 8th, today represents the final chapter of the album.

THE DATES

The next few months will also see COEZ live in some of the most evocative open air locations in Italy with COEZ LIVE 2026 – FROM THE ROOFTOP, bringing its From the Rooftop project into the live dimension. The format will land in locations with a unique atmosphere that will become a mirror of the songs, constructed in an essential and direct way, creating a familiar dimension with the public.
