Disco Bahía presents “Power Ballad”

Music news

The Mexican band continues building the universe of The King of Glam with a more intimate single.

The King of Glam of Disco Bahia is getting closer, and with this the group continues to reveal singles that anticipate this new era. After the launch of “Your Words”the Mexican band presented “Power Ballad”second preview of what will be their next studio album, which delves into a more intimate, emotional and atmospheric terrain, reaffirming the aesthetic and musical evolution that the group has built with its latest releases.

This new single comes with a more introspective charge, where vulnerability and heartbreak are themes that stand out within the song, building a narrative about emotional exhaustion within a romantic relationship that refuses to die, since there are still feelings that are still present. This tension between attachment and emotional distance builds a hypnotic atmosphere that reinforces the character of the project, which focuses on the sensory.

“Power Ballad” moves between soft synthesizers and enveloping guitars, where the voice of Maria Torres guides the narrative with a sensitivity that oscillates between nostalgia and desire. The result is a piece that feels close, but at the same time cinematic, where, according to Pabloa member of the group, the song brings together influences ranging from guitars to the style of Mk.gee and Dijonto the classic rhythm of the rock ballads of the 80s.

The release also comes accompanied by a video where the band appears in a minimalist environment that stands out for the contrast between white and red, which captures the cinematic and sophisticated vibe of the group. Besides, Disco Bahia prepares its return to the stages of Mexico City with a presentation scheduled for next November 28 at the BB Auditorium.
