Morrissey returns to Italy in concert this evening, Sunday 19 July, at Lake Sound Park in Villa Erba (Ex Galoppatoio) in Cernobbio (CO), for the first of the two Italian dates of his new tour.

Moz released his new album MAKE-UP IS A LIE (READ THE REVIEW). The new project, which comes more than five years after his last studio work, was recorded at Studio La Fabrique in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in the south of France, reuniting Morrissey with producer Joe Chiccarelli (already working with The Strokes, The White Stripes and Weezer).

Universally regarded as one of the seminal figures of British pop, Morrissey has left an indelible mark both as the frontman of The Smiths and as a solo artist. With just four albums released with the band, he helped redefine the history of music, marking a before and an after. From there, an extraordinary solo career: 13 studio albums, all of which entered the UK Top 10 – three of them directly at number 1, and an Ivor Novello Award for outstanding contribution to British music.

Recognized for his unique writing and ability to transform emotions and melancholy into generational anthems, Morrissey has written songs that have become milestones: from “This Charming Man”, “How Soon Is Now?” and “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out” by The Smiths, to hits from his solo career such as “Suedehead”, “Everyday Is Like Sunday”, “Irish Blood, English Heart” and “First of the Gang to Die”. In 2024 he also received the Social Vanguard Award for his commitment and dedication to the protection of animal rights.

THE LOCATION

LAKE SOUND PARK also offers moments of high-level conviviality and an atmosphere to be experienced. Starting from 7.00 pm, when the doors open, the public will be able to get to the heart of the festival experience and stroll among the numerous stands present in the area: from the market (managed and selected by Delicae Market) with proposals for vintage clothing, vinyls, crafts and original creations, up to a varied and quality food & beverage offer (in which there will be no shortage of options dedicated to those who prefer vegan and vegetarian cuisine, in line with the festival's attention towards an offer inclusive).
