Mexican trio Latin Mafia and British DJ Fred again.. polish a joint mixtape in a Mexico City studio — and stream the entire process live on YouTube. A three-day livestream that won’t stop until the recording is complete.
The Latin Mafia revolution with Fred again… will be broadcast live. The Mexican trio joined the global DJ to put the finishing touches to their joint mixtape. And all the action is now captured in a YouTube livestream.
Latin Mafia appeared on Fred’s radar after he declared himself a fan of their debut album, Todos Los Días Todo El Día (2024). He has since hosted them at his home in London, where they also spent time and worked with Fred’s close collaborator and brother, Benjy Gibson. Latin Mafia brings together Milton and his brothers Emilio and Mike: this project is therefore a family affair. “They are very good people,” said Emilio. We love them so much. I would dare say they are close friends. »
The music of Latin Mafia like that of Fred being anchored in emotions and human experience, this intersection makes sense. In a recent Instagram post, Fred was full of praise for them: “(Latin Mafia) are making some of my favorite music in the world right now. It’s so beautiful, but surprising, but controlled, but adventurous. »
Last December, Latin Mafia joined Fred for the last concert of his USB002 tour in Mexico. Before the show, they recorded an audiovisual performance entitled Under the Fabric (Mexico City, 11th December 2025)preview of their future mixtape. After a one-day preview at Cine Tonalá in Mexico, this short film is now available on YouTube.
The end ofUnder the Fabric showed the date today, July 28 — a clue to Latin Mafia and Fred’s reunion in Mexico, where they are now holed up in a studio with Benjy. As of this afternoon, they are streaming the entire creative process live on YouTube. The three-day livestream will only end once the recording of this highly anticipated mixtape is completed. This ambitious new project with Fred comes as Latin Mafia has just celebrated with Rosalía and collaborated with Kevin Abstract, Dominic Fike, Álvaro Díaz, Tainy and Yandel.
