The Chilean musician returns to a song that remained saved.

After a period of silence, Christopher Soto Garcia is back with “Shake Your Feet”a single that marks the beginning of a new stage for the Chilean musician, who decided to rescue this recording created in 2016, after having put an end to his project after participating in the Weezer Cruise in 2014 and launch Japilimonata.

The song was composed, written and recorded on December 27, 2016 in a single session, just when Sotogarcia It had already come to an end. For years, the musician tried to reactivate the project under the traditional dynamics of rehearsal rooms and live performances; However, as time went by he understood that the essence of his concept lay in letting his compositions take on a life of their own.

Now, with “Shake Your Feet”, Sotogarcia He preferred to respect the original version, as he discovered that, although the initial interpretation was full of imperfections, it had an irreplaceable touch. That is why, in the version that arrives now, he focused on conditioning the instrumentation without altering its essence by re-recording a guitar arrangement and replacing an organ section with a Mellotron.

Musically, the track It acquires a confessional character that goes through different emotional states, while the second chorus takes the song to a moment of greater intensity before giving way to a more contained section. In it, the voice functions as an axis that transits between pain, disbelief and catharsis, opening the way to an emotional climax that redefines the identity of the project.
