Music news

The group presents the second preview of Dopamine Chamberhis next album.

Less than a week before the premiere of Dopamine Chamberthe next album from Fontaines DCwhich will be released this October 16 through XL Recordingsthe project made up of Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan and Tom Coll presented “Tongue”a new promotional preview of the album that adds to “Marianne”.

With “Tongue”the group presents an experimental theme, in which Conor Deegan modified the sound of the bass by manipulating tape to alter its speed and give it a lower, more distorted feel, while Carlos O’Connell processed the voice of chatten through a sampler, resulting in a song with dense sounds that deform as it progresses.

The premiere comes accompanied by a video recorded in New York and directed by John Angus Stewartwhich reinforces the disturbing tone of the song thanks to the blue tones that are present in the clip, thus accompanying the sound proposal of the song, which advances gradually and can feel gloomy, but at the same time reflective.

With “Tongue”, Fontaines DC shows that he not only seeks to transform his sound, but also to take the listener towards a much more sensory territory. In addition, this piece adds to the constant growth of its international agenda, where Mexico appears with a date scheduled for March 25, 2027 in the Pepsi Center from Mexico City.
