Designed for independent artists and professionals, the French SmartLinks platform band.stream has been available since October 24. It brings together listening links, Pre-Release, audience statistics and advertising measurement, with a Pro offer at €6 per month.
Behind band.stream, there are three partners: Denis Adam, Tachfin Khelil and David Balland, one of the co-founders of Ledger, the French unicorn in cryptoasset security. The young company positions itself as a French alternative to Linktree, specializing in independent music. It targets artists and groups, but also producers, publishers, managers and labels.
The starting point remains the links page, which brings together the listening destinations of a release at a single address. band.stream adds tools specific to music promotion: pages with the artist’s image, a Pre-Release to prepare for the release, detailed statistics and measurement of advertising campaigns.
From the listening link to campaign measurement
The same page brings together links to Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube Music or other listening services. Furthermore, this page may refer to a store or ticket office. Before putting a title online, the artist can publish a Pre-Release page to gather an audience in advance. Finally, six graphic designs are offered.
Once the page is shared, the artist consults the number of visits and clicks, the origin of his audience and the listening services used by the visitors. In addition, a history allows you to track this data over time.
On the advertising side, the platform accepts Meta, Google, YouTube and TikTok tracking pixels, without number limit. It also connects to Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Thus, the stated objective is to link promotional actions to their results, without forcing the artist to multiply interfaces.
