Alex Warren opens a new chapter in his career. The American singer-songwriter and musician has announced the release of his second studio album, “WILDCHILD”, available from August 28th via Atlantic Records.
My dad called me Wildchild, so it always had a special meaning and I even got it tattooed,” Warren says.
Creating this album has been truly healing, therapeutic, and a way for me to continue discovering more about myself.
This album really shows where I am in my life today and, compared to my first album which felt like the work of a broken man, this is from a man who is trying to heal.
It was really nice to be able to face those feelings and be able to share them with the world to give everyone a transparent insight into my life.”
The announcement follows the release of the recent singles “Fine Place To Die” and “Fever Dream” and comes after the success of “YOU'LL BE ALRIGHT, KID”, the debut that transformed Warren into one of the strongest names in new international pop in 2025. The album has surpassed 9 billion total streams, winning numerous accolades, including five iHeart Radio Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist and the Billboard award for Best New Artist of the Year.
With “WILDCHILD”, Warren continues the narrative and personal path that has characterized his writing since the beginning. The album moves between emotional fragility and vital impetus, tackling themes such as loss, mourning, memory and self-reconstruction.
At the center of the project there is also the relationship with his deceased father, a presence that continues to permeate the new songs. Warren talks about the pain and the transformation that comes from it, intertwining deeply personal experiences with feelings capable of speaking to an entire generation.
Thanks to direct writing and an increasingly recognizable voice, “WILDCHILD” presents itself as the work of maturity for an artist who, in just a few years, has gone from social media to the top of the international charts, consolidating one of the most significant rises of new American pop.
