“Alright”, Graham Coxon's new song for 'Castle Park'

Music news

Coxon performed the second single from his upcoming album.

Graham Coxon continues to reveal some of the tracks that will be part of Castle Parkhis next studio album made up of 10 songs and scheduled to be released on June 19, 2026. On this occasion, the guitarist and founder of Blur shared “Alright”second preview of the material that arrives after the premiere of “Billy Says”.

Castle Park was originally recorded in 2011 during the sessions of A+E (2012); At the time, the project was intended to be the next step in the solo career of coxon; However, plans changed when Blur It resumed activities in 2012, causing the album to be shelved until now. With “Alright”the musician delivers a melancholic piece that reflects an internal conflict marked by jealousy, insecurity and resignation in the face of a relationship that little by little fades away.

The single continues the sound line presented with “Billy Says”a song that recovers the classic and familiar sound of the British musician, remembering songs like “Coffee & TV” next to Blur. This is no coincidence, since the material was produced by Ben Hillierrecognized for his work with the band in Think Tank.

In addition to the premiere of his next album, coxon will begin a complete reissue of his solo catalog in the coming months, including titles such as The Sky Is Too High (1998), The Golden D (2000), Happiness in Magazines (2004) and Love Travels at Illegal Speeds (2006). Added to this are some of his works made for television, including the soundtracks of The End of the F**ing World* (2019) and Superstate (2021).
