Ana Mena's dictionary: AM3, Estepona, standard of beauty or Italy

Music news

2026 has its own name: Ana Mena. The artist from Malaga has a year full of projects ahead of her: from the launch of the film Ídolos, starring alongside her current partner Óscar Casas, to the release of her third studio album. An album that he has been working on for more than a year and that was born from the need to tell his story (and after discarding several projects in the attempt). In fact, Get outthe first single from this work, came out last October.

Now, to know a little better when it is Ana Mena, the artist sits in the WECB studio. But not for a normal interview, but to face his own dictionary. The singer analyzes some of the terms that have marked her last years.

From his career in Italy to his film project. The singer has assured that Bellodrama, her previous work, was the first time she felt she had found herself as an artist. “With songs like Música Ligera and Las 12,” recalls the artist. “There are two worlds that feel equally mine. I feel like everything fell into place, that it was real,” he recalled.

The singer has acknowledged that at some point she will do a project just for her alter ego: La Diva Suliente. “I think he is a character that is still here,” admits the singer.

About Estepona

“It's where I allow myself to go three days without makeup and not be perfect, being myself, where I reconnect with the personal Ana, the girl Ana. In my field I am happy. I have my animals. My garden, we eat what we pick. I love it,” she admits about her home in Estepona.

About beauty standards

Ana has also reflected on beauty standards. “Being well emotionally”, that is what Ana means to be beautiful. “I have encouraged myself to upload more things without makeup. That side doesn't worry me too much. But I do really enjoy getting ready. I'm flirtatious,” admits the singer.

Ana Mena has also spoken about that summer that changed her life. All thanks to Una volta ancora with Fred De Palma. “That is one of the summers that I remember most. Those years singing in Italy,” Ana admits. And then came her hits A un paso de la Luna and A kiss de improviso.

In addition, Ana has given new clues about her highly anticipated third studio album: “In 2024 I remember that we started making an album, but I was almost all the time on tour or promoting. Much of what was done that year was undone, but there is an intention that remains. It is going to be a very real album, very faithful, but there are super fun songs that have nothing to do with Las 12. The common link of all the songs is the way in which the lyrics tell the stories”.
