Balenciaga has launched its new collaboration with the NBA. It is a limited edition capsule that channels the energy, discipline and collective spirit of basketball, but with a decidedly fashionable touch.
Consisting of clothing, footwear, accessories and small leather goods, the BALENCIAGA – NBA COLLABORATION is available from January 15th in selected Balenciaga stores and on Balenciaga.com.
The collection includes genderless ready-to-wear garments, footwear, accessories and small leather goods. The sporty silhouettes – t-shirts, tracksuits, varsity and coach jackets – are reinterpreted according to the codes of the maison, with controlled volumes and materials ranging from leather to nylon satin, from regenerative cotton poplin to Japanese denim. The garments are marked with the number 10, “le dix”, a direct reference to the historic address of the maison on Avenue George V in Paris.
The color palette (electric blue, red and white) takes up the iconic colors of the 1969 NBA logo, integrating with black, Balenciaga's identifying colour.
