The Chilean group presents an album that transforms heartbreak into a party.
Pain and sadness will always be present in life, but it is up to each person to learn to live with them and, above all, transform them into something different and even a reason for celebration. This premise is recovered by Catalina and the Golden Bordonas in The joy of those who cryhis third studio material, which offers a proposal that explores various sounds present in Latin America.
This production has been available since August 20 and brings together 10 songs where heartbreak and memory coexist with genres ranging from bolero to ranchera, posing the challenge of overcoming an old love through dance. Rather than presenting sadness as a destiny, the album turns it into a space to meet other people and, above all, to move forward.
Within the album there are some collaborations with prominent figures of the Chilean music scene, such as The Vasquez in “You said goodbye to my poor heart”, Joe Vasconcellos in “Treasonable city”, María José Quintanilla in “If you loved me” and Gepe in “My look”. These themes expand the scope of the production, which stands out for reflecting the group’s ability to transform a bad experience into something completely different.
Since its formation in Santiago in 2022, the group has built a proposal around bolero, folklor and Latin American songs. Through various works they have expanded their repertoire without losing its original essence, building a trajectory where love losses can become songs and, through them, find a new way to face what once hurt.
