Six years after the release of UNLOCKED (2020), Denzel Curry and Kenneth Blumethey come together again to iitheir next joint album that will be released on August 21 through Loma Vista Recordings. As the first preview of the album, the duo presented “DIFFERENCE”simple next to Yebba which marks the beginning of a new stage for both.
“DIFFERENCE” It is the main theme of the album and reflects the evolution of each one, whose lyrics refer to duality and internal differences, both between two people and towards one’s own identity. In this way, the track explores the contradiction between power and vulnerability, while accompanied by a sound that mixes rap with soul and an electronic touch, reinforcing the experimental atmosphere of the piece.
With this release, Curry and Blume They also capture the journey that both artists lived during the creation of the project. The different visions between the two caused problems and internal confrontations; However, these artistic contrasts ended up shaping the work, which recovers the essence of their first sessions, but incorporates the experience that both have developed in recent years.
