Ed Sheeran caused a surprise in Melbourne by joining Maisie Peters for a duet on “Castle on the Hill”.

Ed Sheeran attended Maisie Peters' concert in Melbourne, Australia, last night to perform an intimate version of her 2017 song “Castle on the Hill.” The duet took place on the first of Peters' two dates at Forum Melbourne. Peters had opened for Sheeran on tour in 2023. She shared a clip of the performance on Instagram tagging Sheeran.

Peters is at the end of his Australian tour, the Before the Bloom Tour, in support of his upcoming third studio album, Florescenceexpected on May 15. For his part, Sheeran concludes his Australian Loop Tour this evening at the Adelaide Oval.

Sheeran and Peters previously reunited on stage during Peters' headlining concert at London's OVO Arena Wembley in 2023. Sheeran then appeared by surprise to perform “Lego House” with Peters, who is signed to his label Gingerbread Man Records.

An album born in the light

Sheeran's latest studio album, Playwas released in September.
