Empress Of continues to reveal some of the themes that will be part of Dream Househis next studio album, which will arrive on September 18, 2026. On this occasion, it presents “SYW”a collaboration with Cecile Believe that shows a glimpse into the sound universe that Lorely Rodriguez has prepared for this material.

The Honduran-American singer and producer shares a single with an electronic and experimental sound, whose lyrics can be interpreted as an exploration between desire and action. The theme shows frustration at words that do not become facts and portrays the lack of action in the face of a desire that can be destructive, reflecting both the need for connection and the fear of emptiness.

At par, “SYW” refers to the devastation caused by the wildfires that occurred in Los Angeles last year, an event in which Lorely He lost his family home, as well as the emotional distance that usually arises after a tragedy. Furthermore, the presence of Believe brings a different touch to the song, since the artist has been characterized by combining elements of synth pop, R&B, electronics and atmospheric sounds.

With “SYW”, Empress Of shows a preview of a project that is based on a personal experience, but that does not focus solely on loss, but also explores the possibility of rebuilding and finding hope after going through a difficult time. The material emerges as a testimony of personal renewal and emotional catharsis, mixing personal experiences with rhythms that invite you to move forward and enjoy the present.
