The long-awaited collaborative album by Erykah Badu and The Alchemist It already has a confirmed release date: it will be available on digital platforms from Friday, August 28, 2026, under the label Control FREAQ Records / Young Recordings.

The result of 18 months of work in studios in Dallas and Los Angeles, this project titled Before the World Blows: The Abi and Alan Experiment, unites the creative vision of two key references of contemporary music to offer a direct, intimate, hypnotic, playful and unclassifiable sound.

Along with the announcement, the new single was presented “Witch Doctor”which joins the previously released songs, “Next To You” and the exclusive of Amazon Music “Echos 19 (mix 122)”, presented in Dallas during the Juneteenth celebration within the event Badu Presents: Echos 19.
