AMERICA it is one of the greatest successes in Gianna Nannini's career presented in an extraordinary new version, produced by Gianna herself with four hands with Dardust, and re-sung for two voices with Marracash.
The iconic cover also changes, which originally depicted the Statue of Liberty with a vibrator instead of the torch, which in this reinterpretation appears loose, as if to restore a photograph of the current scenario of the American giant, far from the glory of the American dream.

Gianna Nannini with her new one America inc. feat Marracash is the first chapter that opens the doors of GIANNAGOLD to its audience: a project that looks far ahead, two years of music and live performances to celebrate 50 years since the first publication (the Gianna Nannini album), which consecrated her as the European rocker par excellence.
The meeting with Gianna was mythological – says Marracash – and so was being contacted by her to collaborate on this song. America is an iconic piece, and in this refreshed version it is updated, representing a dream that dissolved before our eyes. Gianna is the icon of rock, of feminism, and what really unites us is authenticity: we are two great screamers but above all two outspoken people. Rock and rap also have something in common, they don't try to please you or sugarcoat you, they tell things as they are.”
The release of the single anticipates the publication of a new edition of California, a reprint of the historic 1979 album, the album with a rock twist which, with the single America, had brought Gianna Nannini to the top of the charts also in Germany and Northern Europe. The new edition of the album, which went Platinum in Italy and Gold in Germany, Switzerland and Austria since 1980, will be available from next July 10th through USM Universal Music Italia in a special, numbered limited edition, printed on black and gold splatter vinyl, containing a card autographed by the artist. GIANNAGOLD – The 50 Years Album Celebration, will debut live with a major concert event, in a single event in 2026 next September 19, 2026 in Berlin An epic return – which comes after over 30 sold out shows in 2024-25 in Italy, Germany and Switzerland – a journey to retrace the artist's extraordinary career, but also a bridge towards a new project with new music, which marks Gianna's return to Universal and which will accompany her for the next few years.
