GUNS N' ROSES Birmingham
Guns N' Roses are putting the planetary machine of big tours back in motion by announcing their 2026 dates.
Axl Rose and his associates will leave Monterrey, Mexico in March, before crossing Brazil with a long series of dates that promise huge crowds and a return to more muscular arena rock. In spring it will be Europe's turn, between festivals and stadiums, with an itinerary that seems to want to reiterate the stainlessness of the myth.
At the moment, however, unfortunately no Italian stages appear in the calendar.
In July the band will finally return to North America for a two-month summer segment which includes the highly anticipated and symbolic return to the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles: a stage they haven't been on for thirty years and which today has the flavor of a reconciliation with their own titanic history.
The new journey follows the European and Middle Eastern tour concluded last summer, confirming a live form that continues to renew the group's legacy. For those wishing to retrace the roots of the epic, Nick Barat's Sunday Review 2024 dedicated to Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II remains essential.
THE NEW SONGS
Along with the tour announcement, Guns N' Roses revealed the release of two new songs, “Nothin” and “Atlas” out December 2nd. This is the group's first new release since 2023 and these two songs will join “The General” and “Perhaps” in the tour setlist, alongside the band's hits and classics.
The announcement comes just days after Guns N' Roses released their deluxe “Live Era '87-'93” box set, a limited edition with remastered audio and new graphics. “Live Era” remains a portrait of GNR in their younger years and the release couldn't have been more timely: then as now, GNR are one of the most charismatic live bands on the planet.
THE BAND
The group consists of: Axl Rose (vocals, piano), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Melissa Reese (keyboard).
