Il Tre returns with a new album “Anima Nera”, released on Friday 7 November 2025.
This third studio work in 11 tracks promises to be the most personal and reflective project of the Roman artist, an introspective journey in which Guido Luigi Senia, aka Il Tre, lays himself completely bare by facing his own fears, the shadows and the contradictions that inhabit him.
THE INTERVIEW
The title of the album, “Anima Nera”, has a strong and profound meaning. Why did you choose this name?
I chose this piece as the album title because it contains the sense of what I wanted to communicate: even inside a pure, luminous soul, there can be a darker corner.
And it doesn't necessarily have to be enlightened.
I have learned to accept my darkest sides and I hope that those who listen to this album can do the same, without feeling guilty or constantly wondering what is right or wrong.
How this album represents your evolution personal and artistic?
I believe that Black Soul is my most mature work. Inside there are my fears, loneliness, emotional dependence, but also the desire to be reborn.
I turned vulnerability into music. It is a journey without filters, which tells the story of a boy who grows together with his art.
You said you remained very attached to your origins. How important is where you come from to you?
Very, very much. I have never moved: I still live where I grew up, with the same people and the same habits. It's my fixed point.
Even though my work takes me around – Milan, New York, Paris – in the end I always need to return home, to the places that have seen the best and the worst of me.
That's where I feel safe.
You mentioned that you learned to write “on the go.” What does it mean for you?
At the beginning I always wrote at home: they sent me the beats and I sat there, calmly.
Now, however, I have to write everywhere: in a taxi, on a train, on a plane. It was difficult at first, but over time I learned.
The way has changed, but not the essence. I continue to tell what I experience, only now I do it on the move.

Furthermore, from Friday 28 November his Live Tour 2025 will start from the Estragon in Bologna, which will stop in Florence (Sunday 30 November 2025 at the Teatro Cartiere Carrara), Padua (Tuesday 2 December 2025 at the Gran Teatro Geox), Turin (Wednesday 3 December 2025 at the Teatro Concordia) and Molfetta (BA) (Friday 05 December 2025 at the Hermitage Club). The tour will end in Milan (Tuesday 16 December 2025 at the Fabrique) and Rome (Thursday 18 December 2025 at the Palazzo dello Sport), with two concerts that will close a year of great personal and musical evolution.
