Music news

The rapper appeared alongside his fellow Detroiter to rock their hometown to the sound of “That’s How I’m Feeling” And “'Till I Collapse”.

Jack White made the pride of Detroit Thursday with an electrifying set during halftime of the 86th Thanksgiving Day Classic of the Detroit Lionsthe annual tradition that kicks off the festivities of the NFL for Thanksgiving. This year, the Lions welcome the Green Bay Packers At Ford FieldOr White took possession of the center of the field for this home concert.

White launched hostilities with the song “That’s How I’m Feeling”from his 2024 album No Namebefore being joined on stage by the local child, Eminemfor a high-octane hard rock mash-up of the rapper's track “'Till I Collapse”. White then concluded the halftime show with a breathtaking performance of the stadium anthem, “Seven Nation Army”accompanied on the field by the cheerleaders of the Detroit Lions.

If White rocked the halftime show, the home team's performance wasn't as electric early in the game — although things picked up towards the break. After two quarters, the Packers led by three points with a score of 17-14. Last year marked the first time since 2016 that Lions won their annual Thanksgiving duel, and fans are hoping for a repeat.

The appearance of White was produced by Eminem and his long-time manager Paul Rosenberg. The duo have entered into a multi-year partnership with the club to produce all aspects of the team's halftime show through 2027, including choosing artists for the Thanksgiving Classic of the Detroit Lions.

Earlier this month, White was inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Meg White (who did not attend the ceremony, as planned) as The White Stripes.
