Friendship and comfort.

Julieta Venegas has launched “I have to tell you”his new single, in collaboration with Natalia Lafourcade. This song becomes the preview of his tenth studio album, Northernwhich follows his successful 2023 work, Your Story.

The song describes the meeting of two friends who share their experiences about life. The central message addresses how life is not always simple, it can confuse us and leave us vulnerable to changes and eventualities. However, it highlights the role of friendship as vital support, someone who offers encouragement, listening and understanding of what has been experienced.

You see that life is never the same. Every day we experience new things, sometimes good, sometimes bad. And I think what sustains us is having our people close, our friends, who accompany us through thick and thin. This song talks about that, sometimes we don't feel our best, and the only thing we can do to move forward is a good conversation. The words of encouragement that we sometimes need, the presence, the hug. This is what this song talks about, friendship and comfort. And I hope you like it and it accompanies you; to remind them that sad moments also pass, and as long as we have our friends, we can face what comes with more fortitude and calm,” explained Julieta Venegas.
