KANYE WEST-YE the concert at the SoFi Stadium: Bully Tour setlist, guests Lauryn Hill and Travis Scott, 44 live songs

Music news

Two sold out nights, seventy thousand visitors per evening, and a spectacular machine that transforms the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood California in a symbolic device.

Kanye West Ye returns live to the United States after five years and relaunches its mythology with a monumental visual system: a suspended terrestrial globe, surrounded by a curtain and a persistent mist, which lights up like a rotating planet.

Ye emerges from the centre, secured by a harness, a figure both omnipotent and restrained, as if the risk of “drift” were an integral part of the staging.

In support of the show the new album “Bully” (Read the review), the new project moves in an area of ambiguous perception: among the most devoted fans it remains an object of faith, but in the wider circuit it appears as a release with low cultural intensity, incapable of truly reoccupying the center of pop discourse.

Inside the arena, however, reality bends to liturgy. The audience, dressed in the merchandising of Bullycontinues to orbit Ye as if nothing has changed.

The encyclopedic setlist has 44 songs and closes with “Runaway”. The breaking point comes in the second evening, when he appears Lauryn Hill: “All Falls Down. Followed by “Lost Ones” and a “Doo Wop (That Thing)” that suspends time.

Alongside Ye, a personal genealogy unfolds: Travis Scott brings “Fe!n” and “Father” to the stage, while Cee Lo Green contributes to the live debut of the title track “Bully”. North West is also present, a further sign of a narrative that mixes intimacy and mythological construction.

The concert, streamed on YouTube, is not just a return. It is an attempt to rewrite its own statute. Kanye West puts himself back at the center of the world, but the world today seems to observe from a different distance.
