Kevin Morby announces album and releases “Javelin”

A production of great textural and emotional richness.

Kevin Morby has revealed the details of his long-awaited new album, Little Wide Openwhich is scheduled for release on May 15 via the label Dead Oceans. For this project, the American singer-songwriter has had the production of a key figure in contemporary independent music: Aaron Dessnerknown for being a founding member of The National and for his work with artists such as Taylor Swift.

Little Wide Open will have an impressive list of collaborators such as musician Justin vernonleader of Bon Iverand Katie Gavinvocalist of the alternative pop band Muna. Additionally, the album will feature the talent of Amelia Meath of Sylvan Esso and legendary country and folk singer Lucinda Williamspromising a wide and diverse sound spectrum.

The first single from the album, “Javelin”arrives accompanied by a long-awaited video clip. In it, Morby shares the spotlight with the comedian Caleb Hearon and has the special participation of Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee).
